Lisa Romano
Program Assistant
Lisa Romano is the Program Assistant of the Ahlsten Foundation. In this role, she supports the CEO and CFO, and assists with the day-to-today administrative operations. Lisa brings over 25 years of administrative experience in non-profit organizations. Outside of the office, she enjoys gardening, hiking and spending time with her cocker spaniel Norman “Norm.”

Todd C. Ahlsten
President and CEO
Todd Ahlsten is the President and CEO of the Ahlsten Foundation. As a teenager, he loved analyzing baseball statistics, airlines, and started investing in the stock market with savings from his high school job. Those interests led him to an investing career that has now spanned almost three decades at Parnassus Investments, where he is the Chief Investment Officer. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of California, Berkeley. Outside of the office, Todd cherishes family time, Church activities, running Bay Area trails, and cheering for his underdog Oakland A's.
Doris C. Ahlsten

Doris Ahlsten is the Scholarship Director and CFO of the Ahlsten Foundation. Doris received her bachelor’s degree in Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley and her teaching credential at San Francisco State University. She taught high school mathematics for ten years at Oakland Technical High School, which confirmed her desire to work with students from diverse backgrounds. In her spare time, she enjoys rooting for the underdog in sports, spending time with her family, and visiting the Oakland Zoo.
Mike Kelly

Mike Kelly works at Gilead Sciences, a biopharmaceutical company in Foster City, CA. He joined Gilead in 2004 , and currently serves as Senior Director with financial oversight of Gilead’s manufacturing operations. Mike received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of California, Davis and his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern. Mike enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid music fan.
Jeff Mazzariello

Jeff Mazzariello is a Lead Pastor at Marin Covenant Church in San Rafael, California. He has spent most of his life in the Bay Area having been born and raised in Oakland. After receiving degrees from UC Davis, and Fuller Theological Seminary, Jeff has been joyfully and deeply involved in his communities for over four decades. He is married to his high school sweetheart and loves traveling, outdoor adventures, great taquerias, 70’s R & B, and hanging out with his four adult kids.
